Wave to a Stranger, Smile Again was created in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic when masks were being worn everyday and simple pleasantries were not as common anymore. While studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain, I worked in a collaborative group to design legal street art that could be displayed in the streets of Barcelona. These stickers were placed in subway stations, sidewalks, and common areas where we witnessed everyday people use them as intended, and take photos of them for their Instagram and Snapchat feeds.
